Hey, thanks for checking out the Kevin MacDonald Band. Hopefully you're diggin' our new site. I'd like to thank my bud Bill for designing it and doing a damn good job.
Also, to anyone who's been to any of our shows, thanks for the support. It may be fun to play music with Kevin and Tom (Which it is!!), but it's a lot more fun to play for people other than band members. So again, I say thanks a lot!!
I've been playing music for close to 15 years. I started on alto sax in the 4th grade. When I reached high school I switched to tuba (Now that's Heavy Metal). I also played contra bass (Which sounds much sexier than tuba, don't ya' think?) for two summers in the Dutch Boy Drum and Bugle Corps.
So you're wondering where bass guitar comes in? I started playing bass when I was 13. Initially I wanted to be Gene Simmons of KISS, but luckily I've matured in my ambitions. After many, many different bands, I'm glad I finally convinced Kev to let me play for him. The last three years have been a blast. Well, musically anyway….
